Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pat salmon filets dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle seasonings evenly over the two filets. Add salt and pepper to taste. Save the hot honey for the end.

  1. Heat a medium pan over medium high heat. I like to use cast iron. Add olive oil to the pan and let heat briefly.
  1. Add salmon to the pan skin side down and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  1. Turn heat down slightly and flip salmon over. Cook for 3-4 more minutes or until golden. Ensure your salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145 F. It may need more time depending on the thickness of your piece.
  1. When salmon is done cooking, immediately drizzle over the hot honey and serve! See notes for serving suggestions.

Notes

*This dish is very mild, depending on the spice level of your hot honey. To add more spice, add in some red pepper flakes!
