This air fryer chicken parmesan can be used in a few delicious ways:

  • Chicken Parm Sandwich – Add the chicken onto toasted ciabatta bread with some arugula (tossed in lemon juice and olive oil) and some sautéed green pepper slices. Add extra marinara sauce on the bread!
  • Chicken Parmesan over pasta – Try the chicken parmesan over your favorite pasta with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375 F.
  2. Whisk the egg in one shallow bowl with salt and pepper to taste. Combine panko breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, dried spices, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Dip chicken breasts into egg first, then into panko breadcrumb mixture. Ensure you press the panko into the chicken all over.
  4. Place breaded chicken carefully into the air fryer basket. Use a silicone brush to dab olive oil onto the top of the chicken pieces. This will help to crisp up the chicken.
  5. Cook at 375 for about 6 or 7 minutes until the top is golden brown. Flip the chicken over. Brush on olive oil on the top. Cook another 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on the other side.
  6. Now it's time to add the sauce and cheese! Spoon over 2 tbsp of marinara sauce per piece of chicken. Add the slice of provolone cheese on top.
  7. Put the chicken back in for about 2 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
  8. Enjoy! See post above for my favorite serving suggestions.

Notes

*I like provolone cheese but mozzarella would be equally delicious!
